    ​1985 年問世的 SONY WM-55 做工精細，重量僅有 233 克。當時設定的目標族群為女性消費者，所以推出了白、粉紅、水藍等較受女性歡迎的顏色，並為它取了可愛的「Rabbit」系列名。其中粉紅色款更是當年 SONY 首款推出粉色的機種。雖然有著討喜的外觀和命名，但功能卻一點也不馬虎。配合卡帶式的無線電接收匣 CTP-1A，即可收聽 FM 及 AM 廣播。搭載 Dolby 音效，附有自動換面播放功能，可兼容一般及金屬磁帶。​
